Every single drink is on the rocks and every single light in the house is on but it still feels cold, without you here.
Every single timeless day, and every single sleepless night, it's hard to breath. Without you here.

And I wouldn't feel alone, and I would feel right at home. Yeah I would hold you close, if you were here.
If I had one more day, oh the things I'd say, how I would hold your face, if you were here.


Poem

Through misty glass I see her face.
Like a thin vail, I feel as though our finger tips could meet.
But with close inspection the separation is more than physical.

A dream can feel like reality when the mind is unaware.
If only the image of you weren't faint, maybe I'd believe for a second that time hadn't taken something precious.

And perhaps for a moment, this can be real, you with me, me with you.
But I stand here on tired heals, waiting, knowing that this is my life, knowing that the only hand I held no longer grasps back. And you fade, goodnight my love, I will see you again.
